Will the heat never end?

I guess God is working on our patience this summer and using hot miserable weather as the conduit. It seems that it will never end. The people up north have cabin fever in the winter because of the snow and cold. Down here, we have cabin fever in the summer because we will melt into a puddle on the sidewalk if we go outside after 7 am or before midnight. It's crazy and I surely can say that when you have a summer like this, it makes fall even more special and appreciated! So, the ONLY thing besides 58 popsicles a day, to help combat the heat....is the pool! I have actually built this little expense into our monthly budget. It costs between $5 and $7 per time for me to take the girls swimming. Occasionally, we get to go to our friends neighborhood pool which is FREE...but 30 minutes away. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers. So, we packed the family up the other night and headed to the pool. All of us had a wonderful time and the girls are much more comfortable in the water now. Levi preferred to jump into my arms and them promptly get back out and walk around the outside of the pool for a good 5 minutes before jumping back in and starting all over. Guess walking trumps most everything right now :) Try to stay cool people.

Ava found these "googles" at the pool...pretty sure they weren't too useful unless you were trying to drown.

He's rather walk than swim.
