We Lovermont!

We arrived in Albany, NY on November 1st and spent the afternoon getting unpacked and ready for Wednesday night bible study.  We got to meet the church and were already feeling like they were old friends by the end of our class time together.
Thursday morning, we got up and the preacher and his wife took us on a tour of southern Vermont!

We went apple picking in Plymoth!

We saw covered bridges in Woodstock.

We leaned real far over the Quechee Gorge!  Kirk and Karen Israel were wonderful to us!

We did some shopping and eating at The Vermont Country Store in Weston.  I'm never had so many delicious samples of food before!

We ended the evening in New Hampshire eating lobster!!!  What a perfect whirlwind day of sightseeing!

That night back at the hotel, I chowed down on the world's largest whoopie pie...at least I think it was the largest!

He's famous ya'll!!!  He got his name in lights!!!

This was one of our favorite places to eat in Rutland and it's been in business since the 50's!

On Friday, we took a little short road trip and stopped in Bridport at this one room school house with separate entrances for boys and girls.

On Sunday, after Shawn finished up the his last sermon, we headed on a quick road trip north!  We took Route 100 all the way to Stowe!

Almost all the leaves were off the trees by the time we got there!  Only a few tiny patches were left!  We took a picture with a very tiny patch we found!
Tuesday morning we got up at the awful hour of 3am to prepare for our flight home by way of Fort Launderdale, Florida....and a 3 hour layover.  It was a long long day but so wonderful to be home with our kiddos!  MUCH thanks to Paul and Carolyn for taking such good care of our kids and the best gift of all....a completely clean home!!!!!
