Yesterday while Shawn was baptizing our new front yard, Elle found where the water was running down at the street. It was mixing with the dirt that had been there from the last storm. As he was watering, he overheard her singing "Muddy Hands, Muddy Hands" and he looked over and she was playing in the mud. It started off with just her fingers and an hour later was pretty much her whole body. This is the same child that when she was first starting to walk, if she fell down, she couldn't get back up because she didn't want to touch the ground to push herself back up. She wasn't a big fan of dirt for a long time, but I guess she's come around. I feel like we are so blessed. We got a little girl that is as petite as can be, is SO girly, but can throw a football (really!) and catch one, loves to wrestle (working on a scrapbook page of that) and now likes to play in the mud!

LOVE the one from behind. she looks soo small and adorable, yet fun. i would frame it for sure...and yes, you're lucky.
What fun! Oh, and good luck with getting the mud out - they will definately be good play shorts.
Before I scrolled down to the story I was thinking, "What? Elle is playing in mud?" Looks like she was having a lot of fun.
This made me think of some pictures I have of 3 kids playing in the mud at different ages. One that comes to mind took place in Bullard with the go-cart. Remember guys?
It's easy to see why Riley loves her so much! Now they can be mud buddies! Glad y'all are coming on the 28th, it should be a blast!
All kids need to get dirty! Yea for Elle! NaNa
