Shawn and I have officially and successfully paid off the student loan that I owed. I graduated in 2000....8 1/2 years ago, and taught for 3 whole years. It took us that long to pay off, I think it was either $5,000 or $7,500 but who's counting? Let's see....$125 per month for 105 months and that's a total of $13,125. That, my readers, is ridiculous. Hopefully my children won't have to do the same type of thing. Now to get Shawn's paid off....
