Our Spring Break didn't exactly feel like a break except for the part about not having to set the alarm for 6:23 am. We stayed busy, which actually is important with kids at home so we don't deal with the dreaded "B" word.....Boredom!!!
We started last year with doing things with the youth group during the week and continued the tradition this year. On Monday, we took them to Central Texas Food Bank and filled a whole bunch of boxes with food! It was Type A organized so I was in my happy place.
Wednesday we took the kids for pizza at Via313(it was SO GOOD) and then headed down to Lady Bird Lake and went canoeing. We learned how to rescue kids that capsized their canoe in the middle of the lake. Fun times. That was a fun day with the kids.
On Friday, we went camping with a bunch of our outdoorsy adventury friends! All of us are adventury because we are all willing to camp out with 2 or more kids in tow. We had such a great time and it was the perfect way to end spring break! Now we begin the countdown to the end of school!!!
