Taking Down Enchanted Rock

Our Girl Scout troop camped out this past weekend.  We stayed at LBJ state park which is just perfect for us!  Only scouts can camp there so we have the place to ourselves, with a cabin up the hill that has a bathroom, kitchen and meeting area.  Saturday morning we woke up WAY too early to get to Enchanted Rock since they only let 200 cars in at a time.

We ate breakfast tacos that the girls had prepared the night before.

I took my bullhorn and let me just say, that thing provided endless amounts of laughter throughout the weekend.

The three amigos...we just get each other's humor and have a lot of fun together!

This skunk was SO REAL LOOKING!  Someone had set it out as an April Fool's joke and we had some fun with it.

We spent some time searching for tadpoles.

The girls made the tadpoles a "resort."

After Enchanted Rock we headed to Wildseed Farms and the poppies were absolutely gorgeous!

We had such a wonderful time together and I only hope my girls remember this special time we have!
