Oh how my heart rejoices when I see the words "free" and "fireworks" and "music" all in the same sentence! We went to a concert in the park last night that promised Spanish inspired music and a fireworks display. The weather was wonderful last night and it was a great way to wind down from the long day and allow my body and brain to adjust to the fact that summer truly had arrived!
We stared by listening to the high school orchestra.
Levi and his buddy Uriah were cracking us up! They were pretending to play all of the instruments and then decided to be the conductors and found some sticks to wave back and forth. Someone from our local paper took lots of photos of them doing this and got both boys names so we will know in the next few days if they made the paper!
It's a Foursie!
Then as it grew darker, the Round Rock Symphony Orchestra took the stage and began playing some wonderful music to listen to.
Then it was finally time for fireworks!!! It was an amazing display! We were all flabbergasted because we were expecting a really small show and it was NOT that at all! It went on and on and had some huge fireworks! We were very impressed and this was the first time that none of my kids were crying or needing me to hold them or covering their ears while the fireworks were going off!
What a great way to start our summer!
